May 10th Chloe had her 6th Birthday! Her actual birthday fell on a weekday and I gladly made her dinner of choice, popcorn and fruit! Then a few days later she had her Birthday party at the house!
It ended up being an ALL girl party ages 2-10! She wanted a Rainbow theme! So we decorated with rainbow colors and ate a variety of 'rainbow foods'! Her favorite was Rainbow pizza and chocolate covered strawberries with rainbow sprinkles (Yum!) She also wanted a pinata! We played pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, balloon games and the girls took turns trying to break the pinata! We also made rainbow necklaces out of Froot Loop cereal and rainbow sun catchers from rainbow pasta! It was a wonderful party and Chloe had such a great time celebrating with all her friends! Happy 6th Sweetheart!
I regret not taking more pics, but we were just so busy having SO much fun!

A Visit from Grandpa Michael and Aunt Betsy!
We had a great five day visit from my dad and Aunt Betsy! They traveled by Greyhound bus on a 13+ hour ride from Seattle. The roads have been covered with snow and ice with our -40 degree cold spell, and taking the bus was a good alternative to driving. While they were here, it warmed up a bit to around -12, and the skies were sunny and blue! We enjoyed showing them around town, sledding (or sliding as they say here :), Sunday morning church, x-country skiing and ice skating with Jackson and Chloe's grade 2 and kindergarten classes!
